We made it!

26.5 hours in the air, we arrived just after midnight on Monday 5/14/12. Somehow I missed Mother's Day altogether! I didn't even have to set my watch - we are exactly 12 hours ahead. Our driver met us at the airport. Thank goodness Tom did not have to drive. Not only were we exhausted, but they drive on the left side of the road. It was like Mr. Toad's wild ride along the narrow, twisting, 2-lane road to Canggu. After a cup of coffee this morning though, I feel great and excited to explore. Tom and Carl are out surfing - the black sand beach is about 100 yds from our front door. I am sitting by the pool in our private walled garden, writing. I'll take you on a tour next post.

    Ok now we're all really jelous. Everybody is here looking over my shoulder at your blog. We have all dicided that we are going to stop working every morning to get updates on your trip. Have fun and be safe.
